Although most students are over the age of 18, we welcome applications from students aged from 17 on our Fast Track CIDESCO course and from 16 on the Part Time CIDESCO Course.
We treat all of our students as independent adults regardless of age. However as under 18s are considered as children in the eyes of the law we have a responsibility to ensure that we are safeguarding these students and we have policies and procedures in place to that effect.
The College has a safeguarding policy and a procedure for visitors and contractors to adhere to when on site or visiting college accommodation. Students will be provided with copies of these during their induction. You can download a copy of the safeguarding policy here
We offer College Accommodation to students from age 17. Any students residing with us from this age will be allocated accommodation with their age taken into consideration. We have a specific policy and parental acceptance form for students in College Accommodation which can be read here
Parents or guardians of under 18s are asked to complete and sign a parent declaration form which informs parents of policies and procedures we have in place and reconises where responsibilities lie. The form will be send to parents of students under 18 as part of the enrolment process.
