Graduation is the culmination of 10 months of intense study for our full time students. The students, who originate from around the country, took their level 2 and 3 ITEC examinations in May and have been working towards the prestigious International CIDESCO qualification for the last term. We are also celebrating the success of our New Horizons students who have studied Level 2 and 3 in a flexible course designed to fit around school hours and appeal to local mums.
Champneys College is one of only 10 Beauty Schools in the UK to offer the CIDESCO qualification which is recognised in 32 countries. We offer guaranteed employment within the Champneys group to all CIDESCO graduates and the formal afternoon tea award ceremony at the Champneys Health Spa is our way of recognising consistent high levels of success and building links between our alumni and the Champneys Group.
The college is currently getting ready to celebrate 40 years of offering the highest level of Beauty Therapy training.
Our next intake for the Fast Track CIDESCO course is in September and we have a range of part time and weekend courses to suit everyone from school leavers to qualified professionals looking to get into teaching or management.
We are also excited to be starting a new Level 3 Apprenticeship programme offering employment at Champneys in combination with study at the college.
Principal Rachel Halling, who took on leadership of the college in 2013, has been working hard to embed our reputation as the leading place to study Beauty Therapy in the UK as well as updating and increasing the range of courses offered. Looking forward to this week’s graduation ceremony she said:
“Our students are only limited by their own ambition. With CIDESCO and Champneys training our students will go on to mould and influence the development of the Beauty industry as the product developers, beauty editors, spa and salon managers and owners of the future”.
