Covid 19 Safety Measures

Your safety and relaxation is of the utmost importance to us. We have fully risk assessed all of our procedures in and out of the classroom and taken all necessary measures including social distancing, additional cleaning and sanitising and use of full PPE as per government guidelines.

Our Covid-19 client protocols are below and we will also go over them with you by phone at the point of booking:

Making a booking

We are not able to take bookings at reception currently. Please call on 01442 291333. If we don’t answer please leave a message and we will call you back.

Drop ins are NOT possible at this time.

New clients

If this is your first visit to us we will ask for your email address so that we can email you a client card. This must be completed and handed to the receptionist when you arrive.

On the day

If you have any Covid 19 symptoms you MUST NOT attend your appointment. Please let us know as soon as you can on the day if this is the case.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your treatment

Face coverings are to be worn inside the building at all times. Please bring your own. If you forget your own, disposable masks are available for purchase for £1 with the proceeds going to the Champneys Charity Foundation.

On arrival please wait outside the front door to be let into the building. If it is raining you can wait in your car. The receptionist will take your temperature and ask you the following questions:

1. Have you experienced any of these symptoms in the last 7 days?
- Fever over 38 C
- New continuous dry cough
- Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

2. Has anyone in your household been diagnosed with COVID-19 or had related symptoms (fever over 38 C, new continuous dry cough or loss or change to their sense of smell or taste) in the last 14 days?

3. Have you been diagnosed as having COVID-19 in the last 7 days?

There will be hand sanitiser available at the door.

Proceed to reception to check in for your appointment. Payment must be taken by card at check in.

Clients must bring their own towels and flipflops. Flip flops can be purchased for £2 from reception if required.

Getting changed

The receptionist will let you know if you need to get changed upstairs or downstairs.

Upstairs

If your treatment is upstairs, you will be directed to the upstairs client changing room. There will be a maximum of two clients at a time in the changing room with a queueing system so please change swiftly and store your clothes and personal belongings in one of the marked lockers.

Please minimise personal possessions that you bring with you and try to leave any coats and large bags in your car.

Proceed to the client waiting room in your towel, underwear and flip flops to wait for your therapist to collect you. You will need to remain in your face covering.

Downstairs

If your treatment is downstairs, you will be directed either to the upstairs changing room or to an allocated space downstairs. There will be a maximum of two clients at a time in the changing room with a queueing system so please change swiftly and store your clothes and personal belongings in one of the marked lockers.

Please minimise personal possessions that you bring with you and try to leave any coats and large bags in your car.

The receptionist will inform you which waiting area to go to once changed. Please wait in your towel, underwear and flip flops for your therapist to collect you. You will need to remain in your face covering.

Moving around the college

Whilst we are putting measures in place to minimise the number of people in the building we cannot avoid contact completely. Please be mindful of the space and other people within it and be patient whilst we all work together to create a safe environment.

Please keep left in the corridors where possible, wipe down contact points in any changing and bathroom areas that you use with the cleaning materials provided

Your treatment

Students will collect clients from the waiting room one at a time to ensure that all clients are ready on their couches whilst observing appropriate distancing.

We are no longer greeting clients by shaking their hands.

Face coverings must be worn throughout the consultation questionnaire and throughout the treatment with the exception of treatments involving the face.

Your therapist will be wearing a mask, visor and apron during your treatment.

Therapists always wash and sanitise their hands frequently but we have added additional hand washing and sanitising.

After the treatment

Upstairs

Return to the changing room (again a maximum of 2 at a time).

On leaving the changing room please turn right and exit back into the car park via the external fire escape. There will be a bin by the door to collect any used disposable masks.

Please avoid returning to the college once your treatment has finished unless you wish to purchase products in the shop (see note below).

Downstairs

Return to the changing room (again a maximum of 2 at a time).

From a downstairs changing room, please exit back into the car park via the front door.

There will be a bin by the door to collect any used disposable masks.

Please avoid returning to the college once your treatment has finished unless you wish to purchase products in the shop (see note below).

Booking a new appointment

We are not able to take bookings at reception currently. Please call on 01442 291333. If we don’t answer please leave a message and we will call you back.

Product purchases

If your therapist has recommended a product or you would like to browse the shop after your treatment, please re-enter via the front door. Please note that there may be clients waiting to get in for treatments and these will be prioritised.

Patch tests

If you are booking for waxing or tinting and haven’t had a patch test with us in the last 12 months you will need to book an appointment to come in at least 24 hours before the time of your treatment. Patch test appointments will take place once all clients are in their treatments so if you arrive at any other time you may need to wait to gain access. Drop ins are NOT possible.

Pamper days

For the moment pamper days will not have the option to purchase lunch at the Tring Resort so you will need to bring lunch or arrange to leave the college for lunch. We will allocate a space for you to eat.
